Full Description

The Tithe Map for Wootton Courtenay depicts a rectangular property at c. SS93874318, within a small land parcel that sits between the River Avill and its tributary, forming a peninsula. The land parcel is labelled 312, which the Apportionment describes as "Island Cottage and Garden", owned by the Right Honorable Lord Sherborne and occupied by William Quick. [1] The building had been removed by the time the 25 inch 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map was surveyed. [2]
