Full Description

5.1.9, SS 7483 3807. An air shaft was sunk onto Llyewellyn's Adit about 80 metres from the entrance by the Dowlais Company in 1857-8. It is about 10.66 metres to the level below and 1.5 square metres wide, and about 1.52 metres of mud was noted at the bottom of the shaft in 1995. The sides were unlined rock. [1] The location of the site was recorded as SS 74838 38122 in 2010. The shaft was noted to be fenced and signed. [2]
