Summary
Five round bare patches were noted in the vegetation on North Hill during a field visit in November 2017. It was suggested that these may be the result of some sort of military practice.

Five round bare patches were noted in the vegetation on North Hill during a field visit in November 2017. They were as follows: A: SS 94387 47729 - c.2 metres in diameter; B: SS 94375 47727 - c.2 metres in diameter; C: SS 94360 47725 - c.2 metres in diameter; D: SS 94363 47714 - c.2 metres in diameter; E: SS 94355 47714 - c.4 metres in diameter; It was suggested that these may be the result of some sort of World War Two military practice.
