Full Description
SS 7611 3650. Small rock cut pit in an area of outcropping bedrock. The pit is c.1.0 to 1.5 metres in diameter and 1 metre high on its upslope side. It is most likely to be a small quarry pit for the extraction of stone for hedge bank construction. [1] No features are depicted here on the 1st or 2nd Edition Ordnance Survey maps. [2,3]
