MEM24134 - Undated pit northeast of Emmett's Grange (Monument)
Summary
A rougly circular depression with an earthwork extending to the south was noted during field survey in 2011. This may represent a pit created by mining prospecting or farming activity with a ridge of dumped spoil.

Full Description
SS 7582 3741. Roughly circular depression with a diameter of c. 7 to 8 metres and a dept of c.0.2 metres maximum. A positive earthwork, possibly a ridge of dumped spoil, extends to the south. This feature is most likely a pit, perhaps a mining prospecting pit or created by farming activity. [1] The site is not visible on the 1st or 2nd Edition Ordnance Survey maps. [2,3]
