Full Description

A building is shown on the Tithe Map for Parracombe to the north of Skillaton Bridge, at c. SS 6589 4529. It has a small enclosed area to the rear and is labelled 396. The Apportionment describes this as "House and Waste", owned by the Reverend John Blackmore and occupied by James Tamlyn. [1] The house appears to be shown on the 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map, apparently reduced in size but may have been demolished and replaced by a smaller building. The smaller building also appears on the 2nd Edition map, although no enclosure is shown. [2,3] The building is still apparently extant. [4]
