The hall was constructed in 1937/8 and was the gift of Colonel Eustace Harrison, who had bought virtually the whole of the parish from the Herbert Pixton Estate. N.B. The source includes a photograph of the hall being constructed. At that time, it had a chimney at the northern end of its eastern elevation. [1] The hall is shown on aerial photographs taken in 1946-8 by the Royal Air Force. [2]
