Full Description

The site is shown as open fields on the Exford Tithe Map. [1] A large group of kennel buildings are shown and labelled gathered on the 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map at c. SS 8489 3835. [2] The buildings are again shown on the 2nd Edition map, with some additional buildings around the periphery of the site. [3] The kennels are still mostly extant, although the buildings to the northwest of the site have mostly been removed and it has instead been extended to the northeast. [4] In 1875 Mr Bisset, Master of the Devon and Somerset Staghounds built kennels and stables in Exford. [5]
