Full Description
The Tithe Map for Winsford shows a building at SS 9112 3423, orientated roughly east to west. It is labelled together with Edbrooke House and various other outbuildings as part of land parcel 809, which the accompanying Apportionment describes as "House Barton…Garden etc", owned and occupied by Robert Lyddon. [1] The building is shown on both the 1st and 2nd Edition Ordnance Survey maps in a similar layout to the Tithe Map. [2,3] At some time after the 2nd Edition map was surveyed, the building was reduced in size, with the western end being partly demolished. It is now in use as a house and named Little Edbrooke. [4] Little Edbrooke was converted from a derelict shippon in 1997. [5]
