Full Description

A guide post is marked on modern MasterMap data. [1] The signpost was visited in October 2015 and its condition assessed. It has SCC (Somerset County Council) repeated on the four sides of a pyramid finial. The attached fingers read: FILTER STATION WEST LUCCOMBE 1/4 PORLOCK 3/4 A39; interlocking with MINEHEAD 5 1/4 A39 HORNER 3/4 LUCCOMBE 2 The collar reads REDPOST. The post was made by Sheldon Wells. [2] A Guide Post is shown here on the 25 inch 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map and named Red Post [3].
