Full Description
The Historic Environment Officer for the Exmoor Mires Project undertook a non-intrustive walkover survey of the proposed mire restoration area on Lanacombe, which included this site. Noted was a slight mound with a diameter of c. 3 metres and a height of 0.1 metre, coinciding with a distinct vegetation change. The feature may be a prehistoric clearance cairn although it may also have a natural origin. [1]
