Full Description
The yew tree in the churchyard is believed to be over 1000 years old. [1] Recent correspondence suggests the tree would be at least 1500 years old. Over a thousand years ago there was a law protecting yews dedicated to Saind Terlo and Saint Dubricius. The stones and steps around the base are thought to be 19th Century or later. The earliest image of the yew was taken in 1895 and the tree is recorded as being surrounded by a seat in 1859. [3]
