Full Description

West End Cottage and East Cottage make an important contribution to the street scene at this entry point to the village centre and are probably contemporary with Dover Court House, which probably dates to the late 18th or early 19th Century. [1] The buildings sit either side of a further property, Middle Cottage. East Cottage and Middle Cottage are rendered but the west gable end of West End Cottage is of painted stone with brick dressings. The buildings have slate roof and brick chimney stacks. [2] The buildings appear on the Tithe Map for Luccombe Parish dating from 1841 and appeared to have been comprised of two properties, labelled 136 and 137. [3]
