Full Description
A stone set on a slight platform was noted during a non intrustive walkover survey of the proposed mire restoration area on Deer Park, undertaken by South West Archaeology as part of the Exmoor Mires Project. The stone is 0.7 metres by 0.5 metres, with a height of 0.2 metres; the platform is 6 metres by 6 metres across and indistinct. It is possibly tumble. [1] The Historic Environment Officer for the Exmoor Mires Project undertook a non intrustive walkover survey of the proposed mire restoration area on Deer Park, which included this site. Noted was a surface stone of unknown date which is unlikely to be archaeological. [2]
