Full Description

The 1839 Parracombe Tithe Map shows a shippon, in a c shape, with the main range running northeast to southwest and with its front elevation facing southeast. [1] The shippon is shown on the 1st and 2nd Edition Ordnance Survey map, with three bays. The frontage to the bay on the southwest appears to be removed between the creation of these two maps. [2,3] A site visit in 1996 described this as a "barn...now shippon, but originally quite possibly a house. Tin roof." [4]
