Full Description

The Historic Environment Officer for the Exmoor Mires Project undertook a survey of the proposed mire restoration area on Spooners, which included this site. A zone of braided holloways were identified from LiDAR data, the date of these is unknown. The area measures c. 200 metres long and up to c. 30 metres wide and appears to be a southward extension of the same route followed by a nearby post-medieval trackway or packhorse road (MMO2904).
