Full Description
The Historic Environment Officer for the Exmoor Mires Project undertook a non-intrustive walkover survey of the proposed mire restoration area on Spooners, which included this site. A well defined post-medieval holloway is visible as a linear depression up to c. 8 metres wide running from the Barle Valley along the southern side of a tributary combe. It can be traced for 150 metres. [1]
