MEM22383 - Clooneavin, Lynmouth (Building)

Pixie Dell was reputedly a bath house built as part of the estate of Rev. W. Halliday who originally lived at Clooneavin on the cliffs above Lynmouth. Clooneavin dates from the first half of the 19th Century and has historic interest as the former home of the Halliday family, who played a part in some of the early holiday development. It retains original features including, for example, some sash windows and decorative chimney pots, but a large mid 20th Century forward projecting extension obscures the profile of the earlier building.
