Full Description

The 2002 Dunster Conservation Area Character Appraisal states that "the Foresters’ Arms in a corner position and taller, is a later 19th century updating of earlier buildings." [1] The public house was previously known as the Bridge End Inn. [2] The Foresters' Arms Inn is depicted and labelled on 25 inch 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map. [3] A building is shown here on the Tithe Map for Dunster, labelled 119. It is described as "Late Pitt's: House Etc", owned by Joseph Henderson. It was unoccupied at the time of survey. [4] 2018 MasterMap data labels the building "33". [5]
