Full Description
Former agent's house built in 1876-7. The building contains original features such as floors, fireplaces doors, service bells, windows and floor tiles. The building is rendered stone and brick with a slate roof. This is a two storey house with a rear wing and two storey porch. The walls are limewashed with a black tar band, the window sills are of grey sandstone, probably not local. Outside the east door there is a bell pull for visitors to the house and to the office. The two storey outbuilding is probably late 18th Century in date and certainly predates the main house. The grounds of Holnicote Cottage also contain a Privy, Summer House, the garden has a tennis lawn and traditional boundary walls. [1]
