There was a weavers studio in the passageway below the churchyard. It was built in the 1890s for the photographer, John H. German. [1] J.H. German purchased 'Pike's', the cottage backing onto the churchyard. He converted the shed to store chemicals and plates, and for the dark room and studio. By 1895, the shed was extended to the barn and milking parlour of Fisher's Dairies. [2]
