Full Description

The police station at the junction between Fore Street and High Street, became Ellerton's Stores, then a cycle shop, bank, and now a chemist. [1] On the Dulverton Pharmacy, there appears to be a refronting of an earlier building in an early 20th century Arts and Crafts style, with leaded light windows and a frontage of dressed Ham Hill stone, including a first floor roundel window with opposed keystones. [2] In 1858, the first police station in Dulverton was built on the site of the house and shop known as 'Bastille'. The building was converted into a bank in 1902, and is currently the Dulverton Pharmacy. [3]
