Summary
An earthwork platform in on the north facing slopes of Culbone Wood is probably the remains of a charcoal burning platform. The date of the earthwork is uncertain.

Full Description
A charcoal burning platform on the steep lower north facing slopes of Culbone Wood, approximately 600 metres to the northeast of Broomstreet Farm. The platform is oval in shape and measure circa 8 metres long and 5 metres wide. At the rear it is cut into the hillslope by about 1.5 metres and built up on its downslope side by about 1 metre. It is in generally good condition although large oaks are growing at the rear of the earthwork and it is eroding. [1]
