Full Description
Gupworthy New Pit was one of the Brendon Hills Iron Ore Company mines and was started in 1871. A new shaft at was sunk here to retrieve ore at greater depths than was previously possible. The shaft was located at circa SS 96283539 but no traces are now visible. (1)
