Full Description
Former location of memorial to the crew of a United States Air Force Consolidated B-24D Liberator aircraft that crashed on Porlock Marsh on October 29th 1942. The monument has been moved and is now located at circa SS 8793 4792, approximately 385 metres northwest of its previous location. It had been erected by members of the Porlock Branch of the British Legion, with materials available at that time. The crew are buried at the Americal Military Cemetery in Cambridge. [1, 2]
