Full Description
Chest tomb. 1758. Stone rubble plinth with slate slab. Incised decoration with cherubs bust to head, hour glass and skull to base. Inscription William Bennett (d.1758) and Margaret his wife (d.1774) with accompanying verses. [1] The tomb was visited in September 2012 as part of the rapid condition survey of Exmoor's Listed Buildings 2012-13. It received a BAR score of 4A. [2]
