Full Description
Outbuilding, former use unknown. Circa 1850. Uncoursed stone rubble, with some red brick dressings to openings. Roofless at time of survey (July 1987); formerly gable-ended, probably slated. Plan: rectangular plan. In a Gothic Revival style. 1 storey. Exterior: 2 windows to right of left-hand doorway. Mid 19th Century wooden cross windows with octagonal -pattern glazing bars, left-hand one very dilapitated at time of survey (July 1987). Gabled stone porch to left with brick 2-centred Gothic archway. Window opening in left-hand gable-end, probably formerly 4-light wooden mullioned and transomed window with segmental brick-arched head, and 4-light,wooden mullioned and transomed window in right-hand gable end. Interior: windows with internal wooden lintels. This building is similar in style to the laundry wing added to the Home Farmhouse in 1853. [1] The building was not visited in September 2012 as part of the rapid condition survey of Exmoor's Listed Buildings 2012-13. [2]
