Full Description
Westland Quarry is depicted and labelled at SS 6540 4282 on the 25 inch 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map, directly south of Little Rowley Farmstead (MDE20568). [1] The quarry is also shown on the 25 inch 2nd Edition and the six inch 1963 maps. [2,3] By the time the 25 inch 1975 map was surveyed, the quarry appears to have passed out of use and the site was occupied by a large rectangular building. [4] os 6" (1905) map and os 6" (1963) map.
