Full Description
A regular bank forming a small circular feature with short banks either side was noted on aerial photographs. Possibly 18th Century tree ring and part of the fields above (MDE20539, MDE20540). [1,2] This area, of improved pasture on a northwest projecting hillspur, is now partly covered with scrub and bracken. There is no trace of the features referred to and apart from the bank (MDE20539) some 200 metres to the west there is now no evidence of a field system on the ground. [3] This record was enhanced as part of the National Record of the Historic Environment to Exmoor National Park Historic Environment Record data transfer project. [4]
