Description

Archaeological geophysical (magnetometer) survey was undertaken in June 2018 in response to reported Mesolithic flint finds in the area. The survey noted strong dipolar anomalies thought mainly to relate to World War Two military training remains, including spent ammunition shells and shrapnel. Potential palaeochannels and a possible cut ditch were also noted, as were some features that may have been archaeological or natural in origin.
