Hazel Riley
Date
February/May 2017
Description
Large scale survey of cairn on Monkham Hill for Historic England and the Forestry Commission, following clearance of scrub. Suggested that this is an embanked platform cairn rather than a robbed barrow; a large round barrow and a newly discovered platform cairn to the northwest make this a group of three distinct types of Bronze Age funerary monuments, repeated elsewhere on the uplands of the South West peninsula.
