Description
The Neolithic enclosure and other archaeological features were subject to analytical earthwork survey and photographic record by Hazel Riley of English Heritage on behalf of the National Trust and ENPA. Research was also undertaken to establish its chronological and cultural context. The enclosure shares characteristics with Neolithic tor enclosures and Cornish 'cliff castles'.
