Site Event/Activity record EEM14134 - 2013: Geo - Luccott Gate, Dig Porlock project

Undertaken was the geoprospection of two survey areas at Luccott Gate, Exmoor. The survey was commissioned as part of the Dig Porlock project and as such worked in combination with a group of enthusiastic volunteers to undertake field survey. A combination of field walking, aerial photograph survey and lidar topography analysis had revealed a number of significant, presumably prehistoric, monuments in this area. Two survey areas were selected for combined earth resistance and gradiometer survey.
